Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Abello mobile app and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Abello (“we”, “us”) is a product of Green Mountain Automation LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. For correspondence: contact@abello.app.

2. The Service

Abello is a household-management tool that helps you track grocery and meal planning, pets, vehicles, and home maintenance, with optional AI assistance, voice commands, and document import (reading a photo or PDF to extract records). Features and tiers may change over time.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to use Abello.
• One account per person. You’re responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your password safe.
• Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.

4. Subscriptions

Abello has two plans. All four module tabs (grocery, pet, vehicle, home) are available on every plan for logging, reminders, and tracking. The plans differ in how much AI assistance is included.

Exact limits and prices may change. We’ll communicate material changes in-app before they take effect.

4.1 Free plan

Includes all four module tabs for logging and reminders, plus 10 AI Actions per month, which you can spend on grocery meal planning and the Vehicle assistant. Pet and Home AI assistants are not available on this plan.

You are not charged an AI Action for a request that fails or comes back unusable. We detect those and return the Action to your monthly balance automatically.

Cancelling a request after it has started does not return the Action. The work has already run on our side by that point, so the cost has been incurred whether or not you wait for the result.

4.2 Abello+

Unlocks AI assistance in all four modules and removes the monthly AI Action cap.

4.3 Fair use on Abello+

Abello+ includes unlimited AI Actions for normal personal household use. Above 300 AI Actions in a billing period, we may reduce processing speed so the service stays available and affordable for everyone. We do not stop you from using AI features, and we do not charge you extra.

For context, a large household using every module heavily lands well under this figure in a typical month. This threshold exists to limit automated or commercial-scale usage, not ordinary use.

4.4 Billing through Apple / Google

All subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment-card details.

• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: manage and cancel through your device’s subscription settings (iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future charges; you retain access through the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

4.5 Changes to pricing

We may change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be given advance notice via the app, and price increases will not apply mid-cycle.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or API keys from the Service.
• Use the Service to harm, harass, defame, or violate the rights of others.
• Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written consent.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its AI outputs without our prior written consent.
• Share an account with multiple people. Each user needs their own.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

6. AI features: important disclaimer

Abello includes optional AI-generated content (meal plans, recipes, vet prep sheets, vehicle troubleshooting, home maintenance guidance).

AI output is informational only and is not a substitute for professional advice. Specifically:

• The vet prep feature is general information, not veterinary advice. Confirm diagnoses, dosing, and treatment with a licensed veterinarian.
• The vehicle assistant is general information, not professional diagnostic advice. Have a licensed mechanic assess any safety-critical issue (brakes, steering, suspension, airbags, structural).
• The home maintenance assistant is general information, not a substitute for a licensed professional. Use a licensed electrician, plumber, or contractor for any gas, electrical-panel, or structural work.
• Macros, prices, and budget estimates in the grocery module are AI estimates and can be wrong. Confirm prices at your store and macros on package labels.
• Document import uses AI to read photos and PDFs and extract records. The AI can misread values such as dates, mileage, amounts, or dosages. Review every imported record for accuracy before you rely on it.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are solely responsible for any decision you make based on AI output. We provide the AI feature “as is” and disclaim all warranties for it.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Abello, including your pets, vehicles, home records, meal preferences, custom notes, etc. By using the Service you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Our content

The Abello app, its branding, designs, copy, and code are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account (Profile → Delete account). We can terminate or suspend access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

After termination, Sections 6 (AI disclaimer), 7 (your content), 9 (termination), 10 (disclaimers), 11 (limitation of liability), and 13 (governing law) survive.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI outputs will be accurate. You use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we, our officers, employees, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We will notify you of material changes in-app. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Vermont, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by direct discussion will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Vermont.

If you are a resident of the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection rules.

14. Apple App Store (additional terms)

If you downloaded Abello from the Apple App Store, the following also apply:

• These Terms are between you and Abello only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection or similar law.
• If a third party claims the app infringes its intellectual-property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any U.S. Government prohibited or restricted-party list.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

15. Miscellaneous

• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
• Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
